They are Owners, Construction Management Companies, General Contractors, Specialty Contractors, and Associations that serve a wide range of industries, including Coal, Gas & Nuclear Power Generation, Steel, Chemical, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas.
EHSS’s team of safety professionals, represent and serve our partners focus on driving and/or establishing our clients safety vision, and culture, while providing leadership and direction to support a workplace that encourages observation, advising, coaching and corrective actions.

Position Requirements:
*** Must be within commuting distance or willing to relocate *** (Cleveland, OH)
- 5 plus years’ experience as a Safety Professional required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety preferred or equivalent BCSP Certification(s), OSHA 510, OSHA 500 and Electrical background a plus
- Communicate client safety policies, reports, workplace rules, requirements and procedures, providing Safety training / orientation, for new and current company team members while advising, encouraging observation, coaching and corrective actions
- Provide an in-field safety presence while demonstrating and effectively communicating the safety expectations of the owner/contractor as well as ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and site-specific safety regulations
- Perform and document jobsite audits, observations and inspections to identify and correct hazards, mitigate risks, make recommendations and correct safety gaps
- Support the implementation of safety related process improvements and recognize hazardous conditions, communicating, documenting, and resolving the hazards
- Articulate confidently, using correct English, and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Must have competent computer skills (Microsoft Office, word, excel, etc.)

Below are a few of the requirements for the position:
- 3-5 Minimum years’ experience as a Safety Professional**REQUIRED**
- One or more of the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, BCSP Certification, OR equivalent experience **REQUIRED**
- OSHA 510 & OSHA 500 a plus
- OSHA 30-hour Certification (Construction preferred) as well as extensive knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry and OSHA 1926 Construction Standards **REQUIRED**
- Electrical Industry experience a plus
- Proficient computer and technological skills
- Effective organizational, time management, communication, writing and presentations skills
Duties/ Accountabilities:
- Provide a regional/ in-field safety presence while demonstrating and effectively communicating the safety expectations of our client/partner as well as ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and site-specific safety regulations
- Collaborate with the development of creative and impactful safety training. Indoctrinate new hires into the safety culture, by educating and inspiring full participation
- Support daily field operations team ensuring assigned tasks are safely executed and verify equipment, tools and work areas are within the industry and client safety standards
- Articulately and confidently report and communicate the safety performance to the client/ partners, EH&S Supervisor, Foreman, and Project Manager, while effectively acting as a liaison on all levels
- Utilize corrective actions to avoid accidents or incidents, investigating any issues or problems to identify resolutions
This is a full-time, long term position with EHSS representing one of our clients.
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
