We are looking to fill a full time Safety Professional / Mentor, for a minimum of 6 months. This position is for someone residing in or within commuting distance to the Dayton OH area. Below are a few of the requirements for the position:

• 5 years’ experience as a Safety Professional**REQUIRED**
• One or more of the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, BCSP Certification, OR equivalent experience **REQUIRED**
• OSHA 30-hour Certification (Construction preferred) **REQUIRED**
• Proficient computer and technological skills
• Effective organizational, time management, communication, writing and presentations skills

Duties/ Accountabilities:

• Provide in-field safety support to our partner, while teaching, instructing, coaching and demonstrating all aspects of Safety to the Safety Director.
• Effectively communicating the safety expectations of our client/partner as well as ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and site-specific safety regulations
• Collaborate with the development of creative and impactful safety training.
• Support daily field operations Safety Director, ensuring assigned tasks are safely executed and verify equipment, tools and work areas are within the industry and client safety standards
• Articulately and confidently report and communicate the safety performance to the client/ partners, EH&S Supervisor, Foreman, and Project Manager, while effectively acting as a liaison on all levels
• Utilize corrective actions to avoid accidents or incidents, investigating any issues or problems to identify resolutions

This is a 6 month position that could lead to many other opportunities.

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week

Field Safety Professional (GM Automotive), Detroit, MI area   3 + years experience

We are looking for full-time Safety Professionals residing in the Detroit, MI area. Candidates must be collaborative, professional, and willing to work weekends as necessary. • 3 years’ experience as a Safety Professional **REQUIRED**
• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety OR BCSP Certification, or equivalent experience **REQUIRED**
• OSHA 30-hour Certification (Construction preferred)  **REQUIRED**
• Lockout, Energy Control, MPS and SCS for General Motors **REQUIRED**
• Experience with Automotive Construction **REQUIRED**
• Ability to read and advise on safety manuals, procedures, reports, workplace rules and procedures
• Provide Safety training / orientation for all team members
• Complete and submit all permits (hot work, confined space, overhead, etc.)
• Provide an in-field safety presence while demonstrating and effectively communicating the safety expectations of the owner/contractor as well as ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and site-specific safety regulations
• Speak with poise and confidence, using correct English, and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Personality and communication must be top notch
• Must have competent computer skills (Microsoft Office, word, excel, etc.)

This is a full-time position with EHSS representing one of our clients.
